If you would like to explore the region on foot, there are over 1000 km of well-maintained hiking trails to choose from. These range from the – almost adventurous - hike on the Schluchtensteig trail through the famous Wutach Gorge to the panoramic high-altitude hike on the Feldberg, Germany's highest mountain outside the Alps.
